Notice On The Latest Foreign Exchange Market Transactions And Foreign Exchange Market Transactions Threshold

Dear valued customers,

In relation to the recent issuance of Board of Governors Regulation No. 15 of 2026 concerning the third Amendment to Board of Governors Regulation No. 11 of 2024 on Foreign Exchange Market Transactions, as well as Board of Governors Regulation No. 13 of 2026 concerning the Forth Amendment to Board of Governors Regulation No. 21/28/PADG/2019 on Monitoring of Bank and Customer Foreign Exchange Traffic (the “Regulation”) by Bank Indonesia (“BI”), please be advised of the adjustments to the threshold for the mandatory submission of foreign exchange transactions underlying documents (underlying) as summarized in below table which will be effective on July 1, 2026

The foregoing threshold adjustment is made to is made to ensure foreign exchange transaction based on real economy activity, support the stability of the IDR exchange rate and strengthen foreign exchange market transaction policies, and also an effort of BI to ensure that foreign exchange purchase transactions are based on genuine economic needs. The policy is not meant to restrict foreign exchange purchase transactions but rather strengthens the obligations to provide underlying documents.
